Given equation is $2p+4=10$.
To do :
We have to solve the given equation by trial and error method.
Solution :
By trial and error method,
If p = 1,
LHS is,
$2(1)+4=2+4=6 RHS = 10$
LHS ≠ RHS
If p = 2,
LHS is,
$2(2)+4=4+4=8 RHS = 10$
LHS ≠ RHS
If p = 3,
LHS is,
$2(3)+4=6+4=10 RHS = 10$
LHS = RHS
Therefore, p=3 is the solution of the given equation.
