Simplify the following :$\frac{5}{2} - \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{7}{2} + \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{-2}{3}$

Given :

$\frac{5}{2} - \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{7}{2} + \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{-2}{3}$ is the given expression.

To do :

We have to simplify the given expression.

Solution :

We use BODMAS method in these type of problems.

$\frac{5}{2} - \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{7}{2} + \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{-2}{3} = \frac{5}{2} - \frac{21}{10} + \frac{-2}{5}$

                                             $= \frac{5}{2} - \frac{21}{10} - \frac{2}{5}$

LCM of 2,10 and 5 is 10.

$\frac{5}{2} - \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{7}{2} + \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{-2}{3} = \frac{5}{2} - \frac{21}{10} - \frac{2}{5}$

                                             $= \frac{(5\times05-21-2\times2)}{10}$

                                             $= \frac{(25-21-4)}{10}$

                                            $= \frac{0}{10}$

                                             $= 0$.

The simplified value of $\frac{5}{2} - \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{7}{2} + \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{-2}{3}$ is $0$.
