Simplify and express the result as a rational number in its lowest terms.$\frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{5} + 6.25 \div 0.25$

Given:

The given expression is $\frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{5} + 6.25 \div 0.25$.

To do :

We have to simplify the given expression and express it as a rational number.

Solution:

$\frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{5} + 6.25 \div 0.25 = \frac{(1\times5+1\times2)}{10+625\div25}$

                                          $= \frac{(5+2)}{10 + 25}$

                                          $= \frac{7}{10} + \frac{25}{1}$

                                          $= \frac{(7+25\times10)}{10}$

                                          $= \frac{(7+250)}{10}$

                                          $= \frac{257}{10}$.

Therefore, the simplified form of $\frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{5} + 6.25 \div 0.25$ is $\frac{257}{10}$.
