Rahul starts from a point A and goes 8km due to south and then from there 10km due north in first round. If the end point of the first round becomes the starting point of the second round nd so on. how far and where will he be from A after 5 rounds?
Given; Rahul starts from point A and goes 8km due to south and then from there 10km due north in first round
To find: How far and where will he be from A after 5 rounds
Solution:
Rahul moves 8km due south and then 10 m due north ending at 2 km due north from A at the end of the first round.
Similarly, he moves 8 m due south and then 10 km due north, ending up at 4 km due north from A at the end of the second round.
So, in a similar fashion, Rahul ends up at 5 $\times$ 2 km or 10 km due north from A at the end of the fifth round.
