On A Rainy Day Out Of 150 Students In A School 25 Were Absent. Find The Percentage Of Students Absent From The School. What Percentage Of Students Were Present?

Given: On A Rainy Day Out Of 150 Students In A School 25 Were Absent

To do: FInd the percentage of absent and present students

Solution:

Total students = 150

Number of students who were absent = 25

Number of students who were present = 150 - 25 = 125

Percentage of students who were absent = $\frac{25}{150} \times 100$

                                                                            = $\frac{1}{6} \times 100 = 16.67%$

Percentage of students who were present = $\frac{125}{150} \times 100$

                                                                             = $\frac{5}{6} \times 100 = 83.33%$
