Name the type of carbohydrate that can be digested by ruminants but not by humans. Give Reason.
Cellulose is the type of carbohydrate that can be digested by ruminants but not by humans because the enzymes which digest cellulose are not present in humans. Also, the ruminants have a rumen, a large sac-like structure between the oesophagus and small intestine.
