Name the original source of wind energy.

The sun is the original source of wind energy.

Explanation

Wind energy is an indirect form of solar energy which is generated by a combination of factors, including the uneven heating of Earth’s atmosphere by solar radiation, variations in topography, and the Earth's rotation.

When the sun's energy heats up a part of the ground or the sea, the air particles heats up and rises, creating a low-pressure area underneath it. Because of this uneven heating, the air pressure does not remain uniform throughout the atmosphere, and the atmosphere constantly flows, like a fluid in a container, air rushes into such low-pressure areas from cooler, high-pressure ones, and the movement of the air creates wind. The strength of the wind depends on the pressure difference. A small difference produces a gentle breeze, while a large difference may produce a storm.
