Solution :

$= \frac{9}{2}$

$9 = 4\times 2+1$

$\frac{9}{2} = \frac{(4\times 2+1)}{2}$

       $= 4 \frac{1}{2}$

Therefore, the value of $45 \times \frac{2}{20}$ is $4 \frac{1}{2}$.
