Given:
Manpreet borrowed Rs. 4575 on first July 2010 at the rate 10% per annum he returned the amount on 31st December 2011.
To do:
We have to find the amount he returned.
Solution:
Principal$P=Rs.\ 4575$
Time $T=1\frac{1}{2}\ years=\frac{3}{2}\ years$
Rate of interest $R=10 \%$
Amount$=P+\frac{PTR}{100}$
$=Rs.\ 4575+\frac{4575\times\frac{3}{2}\times10}{100}$
$=Rs.\ 4575+\frac{13725}{20}$
$=Rs.\ 4575+686.25$
$=Rs.\ 5261.25$
The amount returned by him is Rs. 5261.25.
