Water resources are natural resources of water that are potentially useful. It is important because it is needed for life to exist. It makes up about 70 percent of our body content. Uses of water include agricultural, industrial, household, recreational and environmental activities. All living things require water to grow. Water is important for all living beings. Water can dissolve a large number of substances, so it is needed by the body. It is also a major part of our body cells. The freshwater stored in the ground is much more than that present in the rivers and lakes of the world.
Water table: The water table is the upper surface of the ground that can be filled with water.
