Make a habitat album. Try to obtain pictures of animals and plants that you have listed in Activity 1 and paste these under different habitat sections in the album. Draw the leaf shapes and structures for trees found in these different regions and include these in the album. In addition, draw the patterns of branching found in trees of these different regions and include these also in the album.

habitat is a place in the natural world where a certain kind of creature lives. In its environment, a species can find food, shelter, defense against predators, and a mate for sexual reproduction.

Ponds, for instance, are a fish's natural habitat. Birds and monkeys can be seen in trees.

There are two main categories of habitat, and they are as follows:

1. Terrestrial Habitat—Living things that live and thrive on land are often called terrestrial.

Additionally, terrestrial habitats are categorized into four major categories.

i. Grasslands: Lions, deer, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and other animals are frequently seen in this habitat.
Baobab, elephant grass, Ombu trees, coneflowers, lupines, and other plants are frequently seen in this area.

ii. Deserts: Animals like camels and kangaroo rats are frequently seen in this area.
Cactus, acacia and other plants are typical inhabitants of this ecosystem.

iii. Mountainous & Polar: Polar bears, penguins, seals, walruses, elk, moose, mule deer, mountain goats, grey wolves, etc. may all be found in this environment.
Mosses, lichens, pine, maple, cedar, oak, deodar, and other plants are frequently found in this ecosystem.

iv. Forests: Animals like the bat, sloth, macaw, gorilla, fox, black bear, wolf, squirrel, etc. are frequently seen in this environment.
Orchids, moss, vines, ferns, oak, maple, fir, and pine are among the plants that are frequently found in this area.

2. Aquatic: The world's water bodies collectively comprise the aquatic environment.

Aquatic habitats are further classified into three basic categories.

i. Freshwater: Fish, frogs, ducks, and other animals are frequently seen in this area. Lotus, water lilies, and other plants are frequently seen in this area.

ii. Marine: Fish, sharks, whales, crabs, jellyfish, sea turtles, octopuses, and jellyfish may all be found in this environment. Seaweed is a typical plant in this area.

iii. Coastal: Starfish, octopuses, sea urchins, and other creatures are frequently seen in this environment. Coral reefs are a frequent feature in this area.
