Given :

HCF of two numbers $= 6$.

LCM of two numbers $=72$.

One of the numbers is 18.

To find :

We have to find the other number.

Solution :

Let the other number be x.

Product of two numbers $=$ LCM $\times$ HCF

$x \times 18= 72 \times 6$

$x = \frac{72 \times 6}{18}$

$x = 4 \times 6$

$x = 24$

Therefore, the other number is 24.
