Given: John's Income Is 20% More Than That Of Mr Thomas.

To do: Find how much % is income of Mr Thomas Less than John.

Solution:

Let the income of Thomas be Rs 100

$20$% of Rs. 100 $= \frac{20}{100}\times 100 = Rs. 20$

John's income $=Rs. (100 + 20) = Rs. 120$

The income of Thomas less than that of John in Percent = $\frac{20}{120} \times 100$ = 16.67%.
