Is wheel a simple machine?
Yes! the wheel is one of the oldest invented devices that is included under the category of the simple machine. It has been used for numerous purposes ever since 4,000 B.C., and the term 'wheel' is derived from the word 'hweol' from the Old English language. It is used in numerous technologies.
For example- A screwdriver, whose handle acts as a wheel. A well pulley, which is used in drawing water from wells. It is rotated, and in turn, converts rotational motion into linear motion. This helps in drawing water from the well with a rope attached to the smaller wheel.
