In which direction does the transfer of heat normally take place?


According to the second law of thermodynamics, heat transfer occurs from a region of high temperature to a region of lower temperature and continues until both the regions of temperatures becomes the same. Heat convection occurs when bulk flow of a fluid ( i.e gas or liquid) carries heat along with the flow of matter in the fluid.
