In which continent tomato vegetable originated? It is a fruit or a vegetable?

Tomato is the edible berry of the plant "Solanum Lycopersicum", commonly known as a tomato plant. It is originated in the continent of North America (in the part of western South America and Central America).

Botanically, a tomato is a fruit - a berry, that consists of the ovary, together with its seeds, of a flowering plant. But, it is considered as a "culinary vegetable" because it has a much lower sugar content than culinary fruits, and typically served as part of a salad or main course.

Tomato is not the only food source with this ambiguity or dispute, bell peppers, green beans, cucumbers, eggplants, jackfruit, avocados, and squashes of all kinds (such as zucchini and pumpkins) are all botanically a fruit, yet cooked as vegetables.

Due to extensive uses of all these food, they have been considered as vegetables.
