We have to find the total distance travelled in the figure.
Solution :
We know that,
The area under the speed-time graph is the distance the particle travels.
The area of the given figure $= \frac{1}{2} \times 20 \times 100 + (100-20)\times100 + \frac{1}{2} \times (140-100)\times100$
$= 10\times100+80\times100+40\times50$
$= 1000+8000+2000$
Distance travelled = 11000 m2 .
Total distance travelled is 11000 m2
