In a class of 40 students $\frac{1}{4}$ of the total number of student like to play football $\frac{1}{ 8}$ of the total number of students like to play badminton $\frac{1}{1}$ of the total student do not like any game and the remaining student participate in Yoga calculate the ratio of the number of students who participate in football and yoga

Given:  The total number of students in class = 40

$\frac{1}{4}$ of the total number of student like to play football

$\frac{1}{ 8}$ of the total number of students like to play badminton

$\frac{1}{10}$ of the total student do not like any game and the remaining

student participate in Yoga

To do: Find the ratio of number of students who participate in football and

yoga.

Solution:

The total number of students in class = 40

Students playing football = $\frac{1}{4} \times 40$ = 10

Students playing badminton = $\frac{1}{8} \times 40$ = 5

Students not playing any game = $\frac{1}{10} \times 40$ = 4

Remaining students practicing yoga = $40 - 10 - 5 - 4 = 21$

Therefore, ratio of students = $\frac{football}{yoga}$ = $\frac{10}{21}$ Answer
