In a circus show ₹7776 were collected by selling some tickets. If the price of each ticket is ₹$48\frac{3}{5}$. How many tickets were sold?
Given:
Total money collected = Rs. 7776
Price of each ticket = Rs. $48\frac{ 3}{5}$
To find: Here we have to find number tickets sold.
Solution:
Let total tickets sold be = $x$
Cost of one ticket = Rs. $48\frac{3}{5}$ = Rs. $\frac{243}{5}$
Cost of $x$ tickets = Rs. $\frac{243x}{5}$
Therefore,
$\frac{243x}{5}\ =\ 7776$
$x\ =\ 7776\ \times\ \frac{5}{243}$
$x\ =$ 160
So, number of tickets sold is 160.
