If the magnification of a body of size 1 m is 2, what is the size of the image?

Given:

Size of body, h= 1 m

Magnification, m = 2

To find: Size of image, h2.

Solution:

We know that,

$m=\frac{{h}_{2}}{{h}_{1}}$

Substituting the given value in the above equation we get-

$2=\frac{{h}_{2}}{1}$

${h}_{2}=2m$

Hence, the size of the image is 2m.
