If the cost of 1kg of rice is Rs.36$\frac{ 1}{2}$, what is the cost of 4$\frac{1}{2}$ kg of rice?

Given:  The cost of 1kg of rice is  Rs.36$\frac{1}{2}$

To do: Find the cost of 4$\frac{1}{2}$ kg of rice

Solution:

Cost of 1 Kg of Rice = .36$\frac{1}{2}$

                                     = Rs 36.50

Cost of 4$\frac{1}{2}$  or 4.5 Kg of Rice

                                   = Rs 36.50 $\times$4.5 Kg

                                   = Rs 164.25

Therefore The cost of 4$\frac{1}{2}$ kg of rice is Rs164.25
