If the wood is neither a metal nor a non-metal then what is it?
Wood is a mixture of compounds. Wood is basically a non-metal. As wood doesn't have any metallic properties like it is a bad conductor of heat and electricity, it is non-sonorous and doesn't have lustre. All this property of wood makes it a non-metal.
