If the angles in a triangle are in the ratio 2: 3: 4 then find the measure of each angle.
Given: Ratio of angles = 2 : 3: 4
To find: We have to find the measure of each angle.
Solution:
Let the common factor be = a
So,
1st angle = 2a
2nd angle = 3a
3rd angle = 4a
Now,
2a + 3a + 4a = 180o (Sum of all angles of triangle)
9a = 180o
a = $\frac{180^{0}}{9}$
a = 20o
Therefore,
1st angle = 2a = 2 x 20 = 40o
2nd angle = 3a = 3 x 20 = 60o
3rd angle = 4a = 4 x 20 = 80o
