If $\frac{n}{4}-5=\frac{n}{6}+\frac{1}{2}$, find the value of $n$.
Given: $\frac{n}{4}-5=\frac{n}{6}+\frac{1}{2}$.
To do: To find the value of $n$.
Solution:
Given, $\frac{n}{4}-5=\frac{n}{6}+\frac{1}{2}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{n}{4}-\frac{n}{6}=5+\frac{1}{2}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{3n-2n}{12}=\frac{10+1}{2}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{n}{12}=\frac{11}{2}$
$\Rightarrow 2n=132$
$\Rightarrow n=\frac{132}{2}$
$\Rightarrow n=66$
Thus, $n=66$.
