If chameli has Rs 600 left after spending 75% of her money. How much, did she have in the beginning.
Given: Chameli has Rs 600 left after spending 75% of her money
To find: We have to find the value of the money chameli has in the beginning.
Solution:
Let the total amount of money = a
Money spent = 75% of a = $\frac{75}{100} \ \times \ a\ =\ \frac{3a}{4}$
Money left = $a\ -\ \frac{3a}{4} \ =\ \frac{4a\ -\ 3a}{4} \ =\ \frac{a}{4}$
Also given that money left is ₹ 600. So,
$\frac{a}{4}$ = 600
a = 600 x 4
a = ₹ 2400
