If a girl eats 20 cakes in 40 days, how many days will she take to eat 10 cakes?

Given : 

A girl can eat 20 cakes in 40 days.

To do:

We have to find the number of days she will take to eat 10 cakes.

Solution :

Number of days required to eat 20 cakes $=40$

Number of days required to eat 1 cake $= \frac{40}{20}$

Number of days required to eat 1 cake $= 2$

Now,

Number of days required to eat 10 cakes $= 10\times2$

Number of days required to eat 10 cakes $= 20$.

Therefore, she will take 20 days to eat 10 cakes.
