If a circle has the diameter of 8, what is the circumference?

Given: Diameter of the circle is $8\ cm$.

To do: To find the circumference.

Solution:

As given, diameter $=8\ cm$

$\therefore$ Radius of circle$=\frac{Diameter}{2}=\frac{8}{2}=4$

Circumference$=2\pi r=2\pi( 4)=8\pi$

$=8\times\frac{22}{7}$

$=\frac{176}{7}$
​
$=25.14$

Thus, the circumference is $25.14\ cm$.
