Cost of 1 m of cloth $= \frac{420}{8.75} = 48$

Now,

Cost of 3.5 m of cloth $= 3.5 \times 48 = 168$.

Cost of 1 m cloth is ₹ 48.

Cost of 3.5 m cloth is ₹168
