If 600 joules of work is done in 15 seconds, what is the power used?

Power

Power is defined as the rate of doing work, it is the work done in unit time. The SI unit of power is Watt (W) which is joules per second (J/s).

Work = 600J;  time = 15 seconds

Power used = $\frac{Work}{time}$ = $\frac{600J}{15s}$ = 40 J/s = 40 watts.

Great power means a large amount of work or energy developed in a short time. For example, when a powerful car accelerates rapidly, it does a large amount of work and consumes a large amount of fuel in a short time.
