How will you separate all the components of a mixture of sand and salt in water?

We can separate a mixture of Common salt and sand by the following steps:

Step 1- Mixing of sand and salt with water. The salt will dissolve in water. Undissolved sand will sit at the bottom of the flask by sedimentation.

Step 2- Decantation- the salty water is removed from sand by decantation and sieving if required.

Step 3- Boiling- the salty water is boiled due to which water will evaporate leaving behind the only salt.
