How to multiply Fractions?

Multiplication of Fractions:

To multiply two fractions $\frac{a}{b}$ and $\frac{c}{d}$ we multiply the numerators of both the numbers and denominators of both the numbers.

$\frac{a}{b} \times  \frac{c}{d} =  \frac{a \times c}{b \times d} =  \frac{ac}{bd}$.

For example,

$\frac{1}{3} \times  \frac{7}{10} =  \frac{1 \times 7}{3 \times 10} =  \frac{7}{30}$.

frac{a}{b} times frac{c}{d} =frac{atimes c}{btimes d} =frac{ac}{bd}" role="presentation" style="display: inline; line-height: normal; font-size: 16.94px; word-spacing: normal; overflow-wrap: normal; white-space: nowrap; float: none; direction: ltr; max-width: none; max-height: none; min-width: 0px; min-height: 0px; border: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; position: relative;">frac{a}{b} times frac{c}{d} =frac{atimes c}{btimes d} =frac{ac}{bd}
