Divide the bigger number by the smaller one.

Divide the smaller number in step 1 with the remainder obtained in step 1.

Divide divisor of the second step with remainder obtained in step 2.

Continue this process till you get remainder zero and the divisor obtained in the end is the required H.C.F.
