How to divide two decimal numbers?

Solution:

To divide decimal numbers:

We multiply the divisor by as many 10's as necessary until we get a whole number.

We also multiply the dividend by the same number of 10's.

Eg: 

1) $\frac{15}{0.5}$

= $\frac{15 \times 10}{0.5\times 10}$

= $\frac{150}{5}$ = 30

2) $\frac{1.8}{0.3}$

= $\frac{1.8 \times 10}{0.3 \times 10}$

= $\frac{18}{3}$

= 6
