How is the weight of an object related to its mass?
Relation between weight and mass of an object:
Weight of an object is always directly proportional to the mass of the object. i.e. weight of an object will increase or decrease if the mass of the object increases or decreases.
Let $m$ be the mass of an object and $W$ be the weight of the object.
Therefore, $W\propto m$
Or $W=mg$
While $g\rightarrow$ gravitational acceleration.
So, the relation between mass and weight:
$\boxed{weight=mass\times acceleration\ due\ to\ gravity}$
