How is carbon dioxide produced in our body?


During cellular respiration, oxygen inhaled during respiration converts glucose (nutrients, C6H12O6) into energy currency, ATP (Adenosine Tri Phosphate). Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is produced as the byproduct of this reaction.
