How is carbon dioxide produced in our body?

During cellular respiration, oxygen inhaled during respiration converts glucose (nutrients, C₆H₁₂O₆) into energy currency, ATP (Adenosine Tri Phosphate). Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) is produced as the byproduct of this reaction.
