How heat energy converted into light energy?

Electric bulb is a good example of conversion of heat energy into light energy. When the the electric current is passed through a filament$( a\ thin \ wire\ that\ glows)$, its molecules resist the current flow and generates heat and in result the filament glows. This is known as incandescence.
