How do we conserve plants?

Conservation of plants is the practice of planting more trees and maintaining forest areas. The trees are cut at an alarming rate for the need of mankind. This can be regulated by selective cutting, clear-cutting, and shelterwood cutting.
Forest fires are one of the causes of loss of vegetation. The natural forest fires help replenish nutrients in the soil from dead and decaying matter. However, the forest is set on fire for commercial purposes which may destroy huge forest covers.
To conserve the forest latest firefighting techniques should be adopted. To increase the forest cover more trees should be planted which are selected according to the geographical conditions.
Proper care should be taken while growing the trees. The exploitation of forestry and forest products must be prevented.
The plants should be protected from diseases by spraying chemicals and antibiotics. The pest-resistant strains of plants must be developed.
