How can we use Ball-bearing in order to reduce Friction?

Ball-Bearings are used to reduce friction by reducing the area of contact with the use of metallic balls. Here the balls roll rather than slide. Since the balls are rolling they have a much lower coefficient of friction than if two surfaces are sliding each other. Thus ball-bearings reduce friction.
