We can control the spread of Malaria or Dengue by adopting the following measures:
- Cover arms and legs
- Wear light coloured clothes
- Use mosquito repellants
- Avoid travelling to places with outbreaks of these diseases
- Fix mesh on doors and windows of the house to prevent the entry of mosquitoes
- Use mosquito nets over the beds to avoid mosquito bites
- Keep the surrounding areas clean and free from the garbage
- Do not allow stagnant water to collect in buckets, flower pots or barrels as these provide the sites for breeding to mosquito
