Give reasons, why solids and liquids co-exist at their melting point?

At the melting point, the solid and liquid state are in dynamic equilibrium. The particles are constantly converting from one state to another at a constant rate. This is why solid and liquid coexist at the melting point. 

The same thing happens at boiling point, where liquids and gases co-exist at the Boiling Point.
