Following is the frequency distribution table for the marks obtained by $40$ students of a class in a test.(a) What is the class size?(b) What is the lower limit of intervals whose frequency is $6 ?$
(c) What is the class mark of class $20-30 ?$"

Given: Frequency distribution table for the marks obtained by $40$ students of a class in a test is given.

To do:  $( a)$. To find the class size?

$( b)$. What is the lower limit of intervals whose frequency is $6 ?$

$( c)$. What is the class mark of class $20-30?$

Solution:

$( a)$. The class size$=$Upper limit$-$Lower limit$=10-0=10$

$( b)$. In the given table, $30-40$ intervals whose frequency is $6$.

In interval $30-40$, Lower limit$=30$.

$( c)$. Class mark of class $20-30=\frac{Lower\ limit+Upper\ limit}{2}$

$=\frac{20+30}{2}=\frac{50}{2}=25$
