Given:

Five years ago, I got a bike for Rupees 90,000.

This year, the cost of the same model increased by 10%.

To do:

We have to find the cost of the bike this year.

Solution:

Cost of bike five years ago = Rs. 90000

Increased percentage = 10 %

10 % of 90000  =  $\frac{10}{100}\times 90000 = Rs. 9000$

Increased price  = Rs. 9000

Cost of the bike at present = Rs. $(90000 + 9000)$

Cost bike at present = Rs. 99000

The cost of the bike this year is Rs. 99,000.
