Find x if  2x÷3+1 = 7x÷15+3

Given: $ \frac{2x}{3} + 1 = \frac{7x}{15} + 3$

To find: $x$

Solution:

 $ \frac{2x}{3} + 1 = \frac{7x}{15} + 3$

Transposing  $ \frac{7x}{15}$   to the LHS and 1 to the RHS:

$  \frac{2x}{3} - \frac{7x}{15} = 3 - 1 = 2$

=>$ \frac{10x - 7x}{15} = 2$

=> $\frac{3x}{15} = 2$

=>  $ x = 10$
