Find the volume of a cube whose surface area is $384\ m^2$.
Given:
Surface area of the cube $=384\ m^2$.
To do:
We have to find the volume of the cube.
Solution:
Let the side of the cube be $s$ m.
Surface area of the cube $= 6s^2$ sq. m.
$384\ m^2 = 6s^2\ m^2$
$64 = s^2$
$8 \times 8= s^2$
$s = 8\ m$.
The volume of a cube of side $s = s^3\ m^3$.
The volume of the given cube $= (8)^3\ m^3$
$= 512\ m^3$
Therefore, the volume of the cube is $512\ m^3$.
