Find the value of $x$$4(2+x)=8 $


To do: Solve the expression.


Solution:

$-4 (2 + x )  =  8$

Multiply -4  inside the brackets,

$-8  - 4 x  =  8$

$-4 x  =  8 + 8$

$-4 x  =  16$

$x  =  \frac{16}{ -4}$

$x  =  - 4$

Hence , the value of $x \ is \ -4$
