Find the value of x, if $(-x)^3=-64$.

Given :

The given expression is $(-x)^3=-64$.

To do :

We have to find the value of x.

Solution :

$(-x)^3=-64$

We know that,

$-64 = -4 \times -4 \times -4$

$-64= (-4)^3$

$(-x)^3= (-4)^3$          [If $ x^m = a^m , x=a$]

$-x = -4$

$x = 4$

Therefore, the value of x is 4.
