Find the value of:
$ \frac{-4}{9}+\frac{5}{7} $
Given:
\( \frac{-4}{9}+\frac{5}{7} \)
To do:
We have to find the value of \( \frac{-4}{9}+\frac{5}{7} \).
Solution:
\( \frac{-4}{9}+\frac{5}{7} \)$=\frac{(-4\times7+5\times9)}{63}$ (LCM of 9 and 7 is 63)
$=\frac{-28+45}{63}$
$=\frac{17}{63}$
Therefore,
\( \frac{-4}{9}+\frac{5}{7} \)$=\frac{17}{63}$.
