Find the total surface area of a hemisphere and a solid hemisphere each of radius $10\ cm$.

Given:

The radii of a hemisphere and a solid hemisphere each is $10\ cm$.

To do:

We have to find the total surface area of the hemisphere and the solid hemisphere.

Solution:

Radius of the hemisphere $(r)= 10\ cm$

Therefore,

Total surface area of the hemisphere $= 2\pi r^2$

$= 2 \times 3.14 \times 10 \times 10$

$= 628\ cm^2$

Radius of the solid hemisphere $(r)= 10\ cm$

Total surface area of the solid hemisphere $(r_1)= 3\pi (r_1)^2$

$= 3 \times 3.14 \times 10 \times 10$

$= 942\ cm^2$
