Solution:

Distance = 2 km = 2000 m

as 1 km = 1000 m

Speed = 5 m/s

We know the formula

Time = $\frac{Distance}{Speed}$

Time = $\frac{2000}{ 5}$ = 400 seconds

= $\frac{400}{60} = 6 \frac{2}{3} minutes = 6.67$ minutes

Time taken by vehicle to cover 2 km at a speed of 5 m/s = 6.67 minutes
