Find the sp when :
a. MP=1200, discount =15%
b. MP=550, discount =12%
Given:
a. MP $=1200$, discount $=15 \%$ b. MP $=550$, discount $=12 \%$
To do:
We have to find the SP.
Solution:
We know that,
SP $=$ MP $-$ Discount
Discount $= \frac{(MP \times Discount \%)}{100}$
Therefore,
a. M.P. $= 1200$
Discount $= 15 \%$
Discount $= \frac{(1200\times15)}{100}$
$= Rs.\ 180$
SP $= 1200 - 180$
$= Rs.\ 1020$
b. M.P. $= 550$
Discount $= 12 \%$
Discount $= \frac{(550 \times 12)}{100}$
$= Rs.\ 66$
SP $=550 - 66$
$= Rs.\ 484$
